Tiki's, on the second floor of a busy hotel, is the kind of place people come to Waikiki for: a retro-South Pacific spot designed for fun. It has a back-of-the-bar faux volcano, an open-air lounge with live local-style music, indoor-outdoor dining, and a view of the beach across the street. The menu is -- inevitably -- contemporary island cuisine (Japanese seven-spice salmon, plate-lunch standards reinterpreted in a sophisticated way), with exceptional desserts and a late-night bar menu.

Best Place to take Visitors
Posted by Lani from Hawaii on 6/13/06
When we're entertaining guests from the mainland, this is the best place to take them. The food is great and the atmosphere is what people dream of when they dream of their Hawaii vacation. Let alone that valet parking is free and if you don't want to valet (I'm cheap!), the zoo and park are close close by with plenty of parking. Oh yeah, the kids meals are served on frisbees that they get to take home. Very nice.

Tikis is one of my favorite restaurats for a fun evening out with my husband or as a great place to bring the kids for an early dinner. The food is consistantly good( great kids choices), and the servers are friendly and knowledgable. For value and quality, you can't go wrong with Tikis!
