Old Hyde Park Village is a gentrified shopping district like the ones you find in every major American city. Williams-Sonoma and Brooks Brothers are mixed in with bistros and sidewalk cafés.

This used to be a very quaint shopping village with many boutiques and one-of-a-kinds. Those have been replaced with chain stores (Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Any Taylor). There are only 2-3 restaurants left. Not worth a trip unless you are w/in walking distance.
