Sundy House

Fodor's Review:

Just about everything in this bright, bungalow-style inn is executed to perfection. Guest rooms are luxuriously decorated and offer hotel-style amenities, the cottage has its own Jacuzzi and fireplace, and the apartments offer a full kitchen and laundry. Situated a few blocks south of Atlantic Avenue, the only downside is a hearty walk to the beach (although a complimentary beach shuttle lessens the inconvenience). Even if you do not stay here, come see the grounds, where rooms are hidden behind extraordinary tropical gardens. Dine at the exceptional restaurant De la Tierra ($$$–$$$$) under an expansive indoor canopy, or on the outside patios under trees and among koi ponds. This is a popular weekend wedding spot. Pros: Beautiful property with excellent restaurant, quiet area. Cons: Far from beach, some may prefer conventional pool.
