Universal and Disney have been battling for years to attract attention and park goers away from each other. Disney opened earlier and had the lead, but Universal used the extra time to tweak old rides, design new ones, and within a few years it had hit its stride to out-dazzle Disney with Islands of Adventure. Then CityWalk was added to compete with Disney's Pleasure Island. When its three themed hotels opened, Universal became a complete resort destination and a serious Disney competitor. Older kids, adults, and anyone who enjoys pop culture will love Universal. Movie and TV fans especially will enjoy it.
