Health & First Aid in Orlando-Disney World

Health & First Aid

In an emergency, always call 911. Disney employees are known for their extreme helpfulness, so don't hesitate to call on anyone with a Disney name tag. All the major theme parks have first-aid centers.

Clinics & Hospitals

The Centra Care (12500 S. Apopka Vineland Rd., Lake Buena Vista. 407/934-2273) near Downtown Disney provides free shuttle service from any of the Disney theme park's first-aid stations and from some area hotels. It's open weekdays 8-midnight, weekends 8-8.

For minor emergencies visit the Main Street Physicians clinic (8324 International Dr., Suite 115. 407/370-4881). It's open February through August, weekdays 8 to 8, weekends 8 to 5, and September through January, weekdays 8-7, weekends 9-5.

In an emergency near Celebration, head to Florida Hospital Celebration Health (400 Celebration Pl., Celebration. 407/764-4000). If you're closer to Universal Studios, head to Orlando Regional Medical Center/Sand Lake Hospital (9400 Turkey Lake Rd., International Drive Area, Orlando. 407/351-8500). Hospital emergency rooms are open 24 hours a day.

Pharmacies

You can buy over-the-counter pain relievers at most Disney shops. For prescription medications, there's a 24-hour pharmacy at Walgreens (920 Kirkman Rd., Universal Studios Area. 407/253-6288). A branch of CVS (5308 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy./U.S. 192. 407/390-9185) is closer to Walt Disney World and is also open 24 hours; pharmacy hours are 8 AM-10 PM.
