During Gay Days Orlando (www.gaydays.com), held the first week in June, parties and tours are organized throughout Orlando for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered community, as well as supporters, family, and friends. The weeklong event started in 1991 when the organization's founders encouraged the gay community to "wear red and be seen" in the Magic Kingdom on the first Saturday in June. Now thousands of red-clad folk visit the parks and other Orlando sights during this festive week. Contact the Gay, Lesbian & Bisexual Community Center of Central Florida (GLBCC) (946 N. Mills Ave., Orlando, FL, 32803. 407/228-8272. www.glbcc.org) or visit the Gay Days official Web site for more information.
