Planning on living happily ever after? Then maybe you should tie the knot at Walt Disney World, as do some 1,000 couples every year. At the Fairy Tale Wedding Pavilion (407/828-3400) near the Grand Floridian Resort and many other locations across Disney property, the bride can ride in a Cinderella coach, have rings borne to the altar in a glass slipper, and invite Mickey and Minnie to attend the reception. Check out the interactive Web site, www.disneyweddings.com, for photos, testimonies, and wedding ideas.
Not everything at Disney World involves children. Let the kids have fun at one of Disney's resort kids' clubs or get a babysitter (available for a fee through Guest Services) and enjoy some private time, just the two of you.
1. Have dinner at the very grand Victoria and Albert's restaurant in the Grand Floridian. Remember to make a reservation three months in advance.
2. Have dinner at the California Grill on the top floor of Disney's Contemporary Resort and watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks.
3. Rent a boat for a cruise on the Seven Seas Lagoon or the waterways leading to it. Bring champagne and glasses.
4. Take a nighttime whirl on Cinderella's Golden Carrousel in Fantasyland. Sparkling lights make it magical.
5. Have your picture taken and grab a kiss in the heart-shape gazebo in the back of Minnie's Country House.
6. Plan a day of pampering at the Grand Floridian Spa.
7. Buy a faux diamond ring at the Emporium on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. Propose to your sweetheart at your favorite spot in the World.
8. Have a caricature drawn of the two of you at the Downtown Disney Marketplace.
9. Sit by the fountain in front of Epcot's France pavilion and share a pastry and café au lait.
10. Have a drink at the cozy Yachtsman's Crew bar in the Yacht Club hotel.
11. Take a walk on the BoardWalk. Watch IllumiNations from the bridge to the Yacht and Beach Club. Then boogie at the Atlantic Dance Hall.
12. Tie the knot all over again at the Wedding Pavilion or during an intimate ceremony on one of Disney's beaches. Invite Mickey and Minnie to the reception.
13. Rent a hot-air balloon for a magical tour of Walt Disney World.
14. Go club-hopping at Pleasure Island.
15. Enjoy a British lager outside at Epcot's Rose & Crown Pub -- a perfect IllumiNations viewing spot. Book ahead and ask for a table with a view.
