Fodor's Review:

Stroll along on a guided tour through lush gardens showcasing the graceful sculptures created by internationally known sculptor Albin Polasek (1879-1965) at the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens. The late artist's home, studio, galleries, and private chapel are centered on 3 acres of exquisitely tended lawns, colorful flower beds, and tropical foliage. Paths and walkways lead past classical life-size, figurative sculptures and whimsical mythological pieces. Inside the museum are works by Hawthorne, Chase, Mucha, and Saint-Gaudens.

  • Cost: $5 adults, $3 students ages 13 and up with student ID, children under 12 free
  • Open: Sept.–June, Tues.–Sat. 10–4, Sun. 1–4

Charming and beautiful art and gardens

Posted by flanative51 from Naples on 8/9/07
We were delighted to discover this enchanting little museum. It has beautiful natural Florida lakeside gardens filled with at least 25 or 30 sculptures. We brought a picnic lunch and sat right on the edge of the lake. The tour of the home museum and chapel created by the artist, Albin Polasek, was an inspiring experience. The docent was so friendly and knowledgible. We will go back to see their changing gallery exhibits every time we return to Central Florida. We loved the place!
