Mennello Museum of American Folk Art

Fodor's Review:

The Mennello Museum of American Folk Art is one of the few museums in the United States, and the only one in Florida, devoted to folk art. Its intimate galleries, some with lovely lakefront views, contain the nation's most extensive permanent collection of Earl Cunningham paintings as well as works by many other self-taught artists. There's a wonderful video about Cunningham and his serendipitous discovery in Saint Augustine; temporary exhibitions have included the works of Wyeth, Cassatt, Michael Eastman, and others. At the museum shop you can purchase folk art books, toys, and unusual gifts.
