The entrance is at the rear of the building, behind Panera Bread, the bakery-restaurant that occupies the ground floor. Consequently, this three-story boutique hotel in a 1923 building is an undiscovered charmer. The spa does a brisk business on its own, but as a hotel guest you can always get in for a Swedish massage or a beauty treatement. Rooms have black-and-white photographs, thick down comforters, and high-speed Internet connections. Best of all, Lake Eola, with its 1-mi walking path, is across the street – treat yourself to a king suite overlooking the water. Pros: good spa; very short walk to Lake Eola; short walk to Thornton Park and Church Street. Cons: you have to battle I-4 traffic; Disney is 30 minutes away.
