The menu here is more African-inspired than purely African, but does include authentic entrées like jumbo scallops with golden brown mealie pap (a porridge made from ground grain) and steamed golden bass with spicy chaka-laka (a mixture of baked beans, carrots, tomato, onions, and spices – a longtime menu favorite). The menu changes periodically but typically includes such entrées as roasted chicken with mashed potatoes, and pomegranate-glaze quails stuffed with saffron basmati rice. After dinner, try a non-African treat: baklava – the honey-soaked dessert is the best on the menu. Also worth trying is a globe-trotting treat: three flavors of ice cream – vanilla, chocolate, and arugula – with meringue dots.

Best meal at Disney! Ate with party of 6 -- everyone extremely pleased with food. Great variety and flavors. Excellent wine list. Only issue was dessert menu -- while everything we tried was very good would have liked more variety and a few chocolate items to choose from!!!

I must say of all the places I have eaten at on Disney's property....THIS ONE IS THE BEST. While California Grill has a great menu and the view is great....Jiko's delivers on taste every time. We have eaten here 4 times and every time has been great. I might add that the Animal Kingdom Lodge is the best deal for what you pay.

Definitely one of the top restaurants at WDW for imaginative menu options, quality of preparation, and service. Don't skip this restaurant if you have a chance, and want one of the best dining experiences at WDW.
