IllumiNations: Reflections of the Earth

Fodor's Review:

It's worth sticking around until dark to see Epcot's light and fireworks show, which takes place over the reflective World Showcase lagoon. As orchestral music fills the air, accompanied by the whoosh and boom of lasers and pyrotechnic bursts, a 30-foot globe on a barge floats across the lagoon, revealing the wonders of the seven continents on its curved LED screens. Meanwhile, each of the World Showcase pavilions is illuminated with more than 26,000 feet of lights. Check the wind direction before staking a claim, since smoke can cloak some views. Some of the better vantage points are the Matsu No Ma Lounge in the Japan pavilion, the patios of the Rose & Crown in the United Kingdom pavilion, and Cantina de San Angel in Mexico. Another good spot is the World Showcase Plaza between the boat docks at the Showcase entrance, but this is often crowded with those who want to make a quick exit after the show. If you decide to join them here, claim your seat at least 45 minutes in advance. It's worth waiting to see this spectacle.
