Fodor's Review:

Waiters skip around singing arias, a show in itself. Their voices and the restaurant's namesake dish, made with mountains of imported Italian butter, account for its popularity. The classic dish -- fettuccine with cream, butter, and loads of freshly grated Parmesan cheese -- was invented by Alfredo de Lelio, whose descendants had a hand in creating this restaurant. Besides the excellent pastas, try the chef's tip of the hat to Florida -- roasted grouper with a lemon, butter, and white wine sauce -- or the tender, slow-roasted chicken served with polenta. The minestrone is excellent, and if you can't pass up the fettuccine Alfredo, it's available as an appetizer for $7.95 per person, or $19.95 fr a platter that serves three to four people. Dessert offerings include a good tiramisu and an even better cannoli.

Stick with Olive Garden

Posted by Samanthaj3 from Nashville, TN on 5/22/07

We made a priority seating reservation for this restaurant, but it wasn't crowded. We could have walked into a seat at any table almost. The tables were very close together, and the meal was a la carte. The fettucine alfredo was acceptable, but it was no better/worse than what I've eaten at the Olive Garden. At least Olive Garden has a salad which is included in the price.

Suprisingly good

Posted by dtolman from Long Island, NY on 12/15/06

Usually we skip this restaurant, since Disney restaurants tend to be sub-par, and we have excellent Italian at home (NY). But we gave this a try for lunch and were pleasantly suprised - everything was tasty and well prepared. Like all the restaurants at the World Showcase - a cut above the rest of the WDW dining experiences.

So good we went twice

Posted by Geoffrey from Springfield, MA on 10/24/06

We ate at Alfredos at a recent trip to WDW and loved it some much we went back and waited in line. We tried almost everything in the two trips and everything was excellent and we eat Italian in NYC and Boston.
