Fodor's Review:
With a faux country store facade, this small eatery makes quite a contrast to its upscale neighbors, stores like Gucci and its ilk. But Briarpatch makes a great place to catch a hearty and inexpensive meal. The locals favor the thick burgers, which are topped with your choice of cheese, bacon, or mushrooms. Good breakfast choices include Belgian waffles, raisin-bread French toast, and freshly made scones. About 30 flavors of ice cream are available to help cool off on those long strolls down Park Avenue.
