$$$-$$$$, Eclectic, Central Orlando
Fodor's Review:
On the ground floor of a condo high-rise on the edge of Lake Eola, this place takes its name from a self-created acronym: Hip Urban Environment. While it may not be quite as cool as its press clippings, the food is both good and eclectic, with offerings ranging from succulent duck tostada with black beans, jack cheese, and salsa to crispy oysters with garlic mayo or wood-grilled New York strip steak with a red wine demi-glace. Unfortunately, the large outdoor dining area overlooks the street and not the lake.
