Alhambra Water Tower

Architectural Sites, Coral Gables

Fodor's Review:

Finished in 1924, this city landmark (which used to store water) has a decorative Moorish-style exterior. After more than 50 years of disuse and neglect, the lighthouselike tower was completely restored in 1993, with a copper-rib dome and playful multicolor frescoes. It remains empty and unused.
