$-$$, Caribbean, Little Havana
Fodor's Review:
One of Miami's first Cuban restaurants and still its most ornate budget restaurant, Versailles dishes out heaping platters of traditional Cuban food amid mirrors, candelabras, and white tablecloths. The fun of Versailles is people-watching, though -- that and the waitresses who call you mi amor. The coffee counter serves up the city's strongest cafecito, but if you can't handle it, ask for a cortadito, the same strong demitasse coffee but with steamed milk to soften the blow, and unless you like coffee syrup (Cuba equals sugar, after all), ask for it sin azúcar and add sugar to taste.
