¢-$$, Italian, Downtown
Fodor's Review:
Owner Tonino Doino and his mother, Rosinella, run this stylish pasta house with true Italian touches. A luscious appetizer of veal with creamy sauce of pureed tuna precedes beautiful grilled fish with greens and pastas with zesty sauces (especially the red-pepper-infused arrabbiata). Pureed vegetable soups are good and light, and thin-crust pizzas are delicious. If Rosinella has made gnocchi that day, ask for it with Gorgonzola sauce. After dinner, head upstairs to chic, laid-back lounge Gemma -- also owned by Doino -- for a nightcap. A sister restaurant on Lincoln Road offers the same tasty fare in a busier atmosphere.
