¢-$, American, Downtown
Fodor's Review:
If you like your food the way you like your blues -- gritty, honest, and unassuming -- then this octogenarian joint will earn your respect. A musician wailing the blues also cooks jambalaya on-stage, although entertainment varies. And no one's weeping about the food. The Road-burger is a popular choice, as are the chili worthy of a fire hose and appetizers such as nachos and chicken wings. Don't let the rough-edged exterior deter you from finer dining. On Tuesday during the season, Tobacco Road offers a Maine lobster special, and fine single-malt scotches are stocked behind the bar.
