$$$-$$$$, Latin American, South Beach/Miami Beach
Fodor's Review:
Yucca, the potatolike staple of Cuban kitchens, also stands for the kind of Young Urban Cuban-American clientele the top-flight, indoor-outdoor eatery courts. The Nuevo Latino food rises to high standards: traditional corn tamales filled with conch and a spicy jalapeño-and-creole-cheese pesto; the namesake yucca stuffed with Mamacita's picadillo (spiced ground meat) and dressed in wild mushrooms on a bed of sautéed spinach; and plantain-coated dolphinfish with a tamarind tartar sauce. Desserts include classic Cuban rice pudding in an almond basket and coconut pudding in its shell.
