11th Street Diner

$-$$, American, South Beach/Miami Beach

User Rating: * 1.4

Fodor's Review:

Since serving its first plate of meat loaf in 1992, this diner has become a low-price, unpretentious hangout for locals. The best time to visit is weekend mornings, when the stragglers from the night before and early birds with their morning papers converge for conversation. At this busy, bustling eatery in a 1948 deco-style dining car, you can grab a corner booth and order a cherry cola, a blue-plate special, or a milk shake and pretend you've traveled back in time.

Expensive diner prices/flithy place

Posted by David from new york on 9/13/05

this was rated a great place...yeah over 5yrs ago. No longer an enjoyable place. flithy disgusting atompshere, prices have gone up and some of the staff look life there on a work-release program from jail and or drug rehab. I would rather deal with the losers at McDonalds...it's a whole lot cheaper...A big DUMP!!!
