Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort

$$$-$$$$, Marco Island

Fodor's Review:

This 11-story beachfront hotel is smaller and more conservative than the Marriott, and it seems less busy and crowded. All rooms are spacious and have private balconies with unobstructed gulf views, a sitting area, a dry bar, bathrobes, and a mini-refrigerator. Pros: gorgeous wide beach, complete business services, exclusive feel. Cons: a little stuffy, expensive, business focus.

Nice room horrible view and service

This hotel has great rooms, but the deluxe rooms only provide a view of the hotel restaurant roof (fans running all the time). You feel like you are in the middle of a city and not at the beach. The hotel tries to be a Ritz; however they lack the service staff training of a Ritz. One night the hotel recommended a restaurant that was closed. One other evening they made reservations at the wrong restaurant for us. The hotel pool is extremely small.
