Fodor's Review:
For a casual, almost funky nautical experience near the beach, look no farther. If you want to blend in, order a fish special with whale fries -- thinly sliced potatoes that look like hot potato chips. Lesser appetites can choose from salads and fish sandwiches, or raw-bar favorites like Ipswich clams.

One hint that the Whales Rib is a great place to eat, maybe the lines of people outside..(it's nrmally a short wait & worth it). The Whales Rib is a great informal place offering great seafood and other fare. The service from the friendly staff is excellent. The portions are large and always consistantly delicious. Get the fresh fish or the King Crab Legs...I love the Whales Rib...
