Chautauqua Winery

Fodor's Review:

The Chautauqua Winery opened in 1989, and its vintages have slowly won respect from oenophiles wary of what was once considered to be an oxymoron at best: "Florida wine." But the state has history on its side: according to historical records, the first wine produced by Europeans in the New World was made in Florida in 1562 by French Huguenots (obviously, this predated their little-known Siege of Napa Valley). Take a free tour to see how ancient art blends with modern technology; then retreat to the tasting room and gift shop.
