By all accounts, the 16-by-24-foot Walton-DeFuniak Public Library is Florida's oldest library continuously operating in its original building. Opened in 1887, the original space has been added to over the years. The library now contains nearly 30,000 volumes, including some rare books, many older than the structure itself. The collection also includes antique musical instruments and impressive European armor.
