Florida Keys: By Bus

By Bus

Greyhound Lines runs a special Keys shuttle three or four times a day (depending on the day of the week) between Miami International Airport (departing from Concourse E, lower level) and stops throughout the Keys. Fares run from around $15 for Key Largo (Howard Johnson, MM 102) to around $35 for Key West (3535 S. Roosevelt, Key West Airport).

City of Key West Department of Transportation has six color-coded bus routes traversing the island from 6:30 AM to 11:30 PM. Stops have signs with the international symbol for bus. Schedules are available on buses and at hotels, visitor centers, and shops. The fare is $1 (exact change) or $3 for an all-day pass that you purchase on board.

American Coach Lines (formerly the Dade-Monroe Express) provides daily bus service from MM 50 in Marathon to the Florida City Wal-Mart Supercenter on the Mainland. The bus stops at major shopping centers as well as on-demand anywhere along the route during daily round-trips on the hour from 6 AM to 9:55 PM. The cost is $1.85 each way, exact change needed. The Lower Keys Shuttle bus runs from Marathon to Key West ($2 one way), with scheduled and on-demand stops along the way.
