One of the Keys' most elegant dining addresses, Pierre's draws foodies from Miami and beyond, and more than a few guys with George Hamilton tans dining with their younger, blonder. daughters? Put on your best "tropical chic" duds and decide to be as fabulous as the food. A two-story sister to the Morada Bay restaurant, Pierre's marries British colonial decadence with South Florida trendiness. It oozes style, with dark wood, rattan, French doors, Indian and Asian architectural artifacts, and a wicker chair-strewn veranda that overlooks the bay. The food, drawn from those same Asian, Indian, and Floridian influences, is complex: layered, colorful, and beautifully presented. Diners gush about the sauces and "fabulous" desserts. The changing menu might include sea bass over baby bok choy or potato-crusted grouper. Among the appetizer choices, few can resist the lobster cake. Weather permitting, dine outside. The sophisticated downstairs bar provides a perfect vantage point for sunset watching. Reservations are recommended.
