$$$-$$$$, New American, Downtown
Fodor's Review:
Light-color wood paneling, gleaming white linen, and stunning black-and-white photographs make Butterfield 9 one of the most handsome restaurants in town. Chef Michael Harr's style of cooking glorifies complexity. The menu changes every two months and has included hits such as the Amish goat, a fillet of ostrich, and rabbit with persimmon and poached salsify. The almond cake with poached pear and other seasonal desserts are well worth a taste.
