$$-$$$, Seafood, Silver Spring
Fodor's Review:
Because it's about as gracious as a neighborhood barbershop, Crisfield's relatively high prices might seem absurd. But you get your money's worth with an eyeful of old Maryland frozen in time and some of the best no-nonsense seafood in the area. Crab cakes don't get any more authentic, and you know they're made by hand because they don't look perfect. The creamy, chunky clam chowder is rendered with similar down-home care. The place retains an old-school charm; for maximum effect, sit at the bar and watch the waiters shuck clams.
