¢-$, American, U Street corridor
Fodor's Review:
Tables can be hard to come by on weekend nights at Polly's Café, a cozy oasis with a fireplace. That's when locals arrive ready to swill beer, eat better-than-average bar food such as smoked mozzarella salad, and enjoy jukebox favorites from every era. Nightly specials such as grilled tuna with ginger-sesame vinaigrette are among more substantial plates. The hearty brunch, available every day, is one of Washington's best values.
