Marrakesh

$$$, Moroccan, Downtown

Fodor's Review:

In a part of the city better known for auto-supply shops, Marrakesh supplies a taste of Morocco in a fixed-price ($30 per person, not including drinks) feast shared by everyone at your table. Appetizers consist of a platter of three salads followed by b'stella, a traditional chicken pie made with crisp layers of phyllo dough and seasoned with cinnamon. The first main course is chicken with lemon and olive. A beef or lamb dish is next, followed by vegetable couscous, fruit, mint tea, and pastries. Belly dancers perform nightly. Lunch is available for groups of 10 or more only, by reservation.

Kiss off Marrakesh

You can usually tell how good a restaurant is by the reception you get at the front door and in this case, you'd get a more welcoming embrace from a doctor with cold hands. The service of seven courses is hideoeusly slow so plan accordingly, food only passable at best.
