Lauriol Plaza

¢-$, French , Latin American, Adams-Morgan

User Rating: ***** 5.0

Fodor's Review:

This longtime favorite on the border of Adams-Morgan and Dupont Circle serves Latin American, Cuban, and Spanish dishes -- ceviches, paella, fajitas, and so on -- to enthusiastic crowds. Rustic entrées such as Cuban-style pork and lomo saltado (Peruvian-style strip steak with onions, tomatoes, and jalapeño peppers) are specialties. The dining room can get noisy, but the roof terrace is a popular alternative in good weather. Take advantage of the two hours of free parking for customers; this street may be the most difficult place to park in the city.

Fantastic Food & service, fun crowd and wonderfully honest

Posted by Bob from Madison, WI on 4/7/06

While atending a conference in D.C. at the Hilton, I ate at Lauriol Plaza, near DuPont Cir. In addition to the wonderful service and food, I'd like to commend them for quickly mailing me the credit card I carelessly left on the table. Being a midwesterner, I like to think that most people are very honest. I love that the folks at Lauriol Plaze re-affirmed my confidence in humanity.
