Fodor's Review:

Indebleu. Visual drama and culinary fun are the twin concepts at this restaurant where French technique meets American foodstuffs and Indian spices. Quaff mangotinis while lounging on orange futons in the noisy, high-energy bar, or head for one of the two stylish dining rooms upstairs. You can make a meal of starters such as the tower of crab and lobster spiked with curry oil, or go the more traditional route with a main course like striped bass with a mussel bouillabaisse. Leave room for the sweet "spaghetti and meatballs," made with saffron-cardamom ice cream and warm Indian milk balls. ->

slow lunch

I went for lunch and wandered through the whole space before an actual employee appeared. i guess lunch is new and only one staff member works during lunch. I had the salmon - excellent. I would guess dinner service is better.

Indebleu-Attidude

Its a shame that the attitude at the door seemed to overshadow our eating experience at Indebleu. First, the reason why we were there, the food. Great food, the presentation was superb, our tabel had the salmon, duck (one of the best i have had), lobster and the tenterloin. No one went home disapointed, one of the highlights if the menu were the started, the lobster tower was great and my favorite, the seared scallops, i could have had 2 more plates! The service was great, all the plates are placed on the table at the same time, WHAT PRESENTATION. i think where indeblue is going to take a hit, is in trying to find its identity. the velvet rope outside and the bar downstairs make its want to be a hip trendy drink place, but what the greets and hostest downstairs with the tacky hat has to remember is that it makes its bank from the dinners. i dont want to have reservations, plan to spend several hundred dollars and have some 19yo in jeans pull some list out and be short with me. we had a party of 5 and since they dont do partial seating cut our party to 4, and LORD it was the end of the world to her, its like she didnt know what to do. overall they take a risk in losing the dinning clients to the attidude downstairs. honey im from south beach, you can put your attitude in those 2 sizes 2 small jeans and get me a martini!. but again , onces you get past the door, its an amazing experience.
