Fodor's Review:
The French could not have landed a better location for the Sofitel, a minute's walk from the White House. The boutique hotel has maintained the 1920s style of the original Shoreham office building, with an understated, sophisticated lobby and chic, though slightly small, guest rooms with beautiful marble bathrooms. The multilingual staff caters to Europeans and Americans, and Cafe 15 serves artful French dishes under the direction of a Michelin three-star consulting chef.

We had the opportunity to spend several nights there in Sept '07. It was a delightful experience. Very clean and stylish. We're not used to DC prices, but it was worth it to us to enjoy such a wonderful hotelRATING: 5.0
