Fodor's Review:
A legend in the D.C. area, the Birchmere is one of the best places outside of the Blue Ridge Mountains to hear acoustic folk, country, and bluegrass. Enthusiastic -- but seated -- crowds have enjoyed recent performances by artists such as Mary Chapin Carpenter, Lyle Lovett, Leon Redbone, and Emmylou Harris.
