Fodor's Review:
Views of Strawberry Park and an easy walk into town make the Alpine Rose a wonderful alternative to pricey hotels, especially during ski season. The owners offer simple breakfasts, such as fruit with omelets or waffles, and the rooms are homey. One room offers an adjoining room with a bunk bed for kids. The efficiency apartment, with its own entrance and Jacuzzi tub, is ideal for longer stays. Pros: close to town, relatively close to ski area (five-minute drive), reasonably priced. Con: nothing fancy.
