Fodor's Review:
Co-owners and longtime residents Leona Hemmerich and Bill Mitchem understand both the cravings of the area's visitors and the spectacular vistas they come to see. New batches of homemade ice cream show up almost every day at their roadside shop where the walls are a gallery for their photography and artwork. The shop sells fresh sandwiches and gourmet coffees (with names like "Mochasaurus") and bottled root beer, cream soda, and ginger ale. The Depot's immaculate restroom makes for one of the most pleasant pit stops on the long drive ahead. Call for winter hours.
