$$, Boulder
Fodor's Review:
Innkeeper Gary Hardin warmly welcomes guests to his ecologically sound B&B. The inn has received accolades for its commitment to zero waste. The full breakfast is exclusively organic, and the homemade granola is a guest favorite. Tea trays with homemade shortbread cookies are available anytime during the day. There are six rooms in the sturdy, 1890s brick main house and four in the adjacent carriage house. The individually decorated rooms have down comforters, floral carpeting, and flowers stenciled above the headboards, some have wood-burning fireplaces. Pros: the only B&B in central Boulder, close to downtown shopping and dining, extensive selection of fine teas. Cons: on a busy and noisy street, small inn that books early.
