Fodor's Review:
The distinctive design of this 40-story hotel has been compared to a parking meter and a jukebox. Inside, a five-story, glass-top atrium encloses a dining court lush with palm trees, tropical plants, a cascading fountain, and a Starbucks in the lobby. Contemporary cherry furniture fills the rooms, which have gold-and-orange bedspreads and curtains. Several hundred rooms also have writing desks and ergonomic chairs. The top-floor View lounge has huge, fan-shape windows with stunning views of the city. Look for artwork by Richard Diebenkorn and other important artists installed throughout the hotel, which is close to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Yerba Buena Gardens complex.
