Fodor's Review:

This big, wood-lined dining room in the Savoy Hotel is the gourmet dining destination for visiting vegans. The seasonal menu of "animal-free" dishes made with organic ingredients includes cornmeal-crusted mushrooms with cucumber-mint salad, grilled tempeh (fermented soybeans) with sweet pepper and brown rice salad, and Indian-spiced pink bean ragout with cumin-scented flatbread. These dishes are dressed up with bold flavors that won't disappoint omnivores. Come dessert, you may find the chocolate almond midnight (mocha chocolate filling in an almond-cashew crust) hard to resist. A long list of organic wines are available.

While attending a meeting in San Francisco, a vegetarian friend of mine suggested Millennium for dinner. The entire experience was outstanding. There was a great variety of dishes on the menu, and a very helpful staff who explained what the foods were. When my Indian colleague wanted extra hot sauce, the chef prepared a small cup for his use. I can easily say that I had a great meal, and didn't miss my usual piece of fish or meat.
