If you're arriving in San Diego by private boat, keep in mind that many hotels, marinas, and yacht clubs rent slips short-term. Call ahead as available space is limited. The San Diego and Southwestern yacht clubs have reciprocal arrangements with other yacht clubs.

The small Coronado ferry ($3 one-way fare and 50¢ per bicycle), is a reminder of the pre-San Diego-Coronado Bridge days when ferries provided regular transportation between Coronado and downtown. Now it's a small excursion service that is fun to ride, but not often used as a practical transportation method.
