On the Embarcadero and overlooking San Diego Bay, this hotel made up of twin high-rises has unsurprising but spacious rooms and hard-to-beat views from the balconies. Although the hotel grounds are nice if fairly sterile, the bay is just across the street and offers boat rides, restaurants, and picturesque walking areas. The hotel is very close to the airport and Amtrak station. The English-style Elephant and Castle Pub is a great place for food, drink, and meeting people.

We just spent the night on our way to Maui. Everything was fine except one elevator was out of order but that can happen anywhere.
The Indigo Cafe that is down at street level seems to be connected to the hotel as there are signs on hotel property telling you how to get there. I wasn't expecting much therefore.
I was wrong. What a great little hole-in-the-wall restaurant! My wife and I had a fantastic dinner. The pesto pasta with grilled chicken was better than anything I had in Hawaii, which is saying something. And very reasonably priced.
If we ever go back to San Diego, we'll search out this little jewel.
