Escape to French Polynesia or any other exotic locale at this quaint beach restaurant. The atmosphere sizzles with a bustling bar and live music that starts nightly at 7:30. The dining room has a "Survivor" feel, thanks to thatched walls; fortunately the French cuisine is more sophisticated, with offerings such as coq au vin, tomato basil fettuccine, and whole sea bass baked in a rosemary-salt crust. Mussels are a specialty, whether served in a spicy Thai peanut broth or the classic garlic and white wine preparation. Quarters can be a bit tight, but the crowd is friendly.
