Fodor's Review:
This bright, clean hostel is friendly and communal, but strictly for the independent backpacker (any nationality, any age) with a valid passport showing international travel. It makes its home in an 1887 Victorian hotel in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. There are dorm beds and private rooms sleeping two (the number of the latter varies as seasonal demand changes the hostel's configuration). A variety of tours and parties are hosted weekly including beach and Tijuana trips. Breakfast is complimentary and there's a kitchen for guest use, but you're asked to clean up after yourself.
