One block from the beach and near some of the best shops and restaurants, this European-style inn with a delightful staff sits in a prime spot in the village of La Jolla. Many rooms have sweeping ocean views from their balconies; one spectacular penthouse suite faces the ocean, the other the village. Enjoy the delicious complimentary continental breakfast in your room or on the upstairs sundeck.

We found this hotel through a friend and loved it! The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is a real treat. We views are spectacular! We highly recommend the La Jolla Inn and can't wait to see the staff again.RATING: 5.0
Pay for the service, stay for the locality

My partner & I booked a "village-level" room for 5 nights. The room itself was clean and had a refridgerator; however, it also was small & poorly lit. We didn't mind the size too much because we were there only to sleep & get dressed, but it was still too snug for my tastes. The complimentary continental breakfast is okay, nothing to write home about & not fit for a "foodie." But if you need a bite of something to get out of the door, it will suffice. The staff are incredibly friendly & helpful, and you can't beat the location (1 block from the beach, restaurants & shops everywhere you look, easy access to I-5).RATING: 4.0
