Humphrey's Half Moon Inn & Suites

$$-$$$, Shelter Island

User Rating: ** 2.0

Fodor's Review:

This sprawling South Seas-style resort has grassy open areas with palms and tiki torches. Rooms, some with kitchens and some with yacht-harbor or bay views, are decorated in a breezy island fashion. The Grand Marina Suite can accommodate up to eight in 1,000 square feet with a full kitchen. Locals throng to Humphrey's, the hotel's seafood restaurant, and to the jazz lounge; the hotel also hosts outdoor jazz and pop concerts from May through October.

Not worth looking at!

This hotel is not worth looking at! We booked on the internet and looked at three different rooms when we arrived before leaving to find another hotel. It is old, dark, worn and way too expensive for what you get. The grounds are nice but the buildings need a major overhaul.
