Fodor's Review:

Steps from the beach and one of the world's most vibrant boardwalks, a makeover in 2007 updated this atypical Best Western completely, adding a top floor; a rooftop deck with city and ocean views is the topper. Rooms have flat-screen TVs, individual climate control and original contemporary art by Venice artists. Within blocks are numerous art galleries, shops, and more than 25 restaurants. Stroll the scenic Venice canals and boardwalk or rent bikes next door at a discount; racquetball and tennis courts are also close. Europeans and Australians populate the hotel; although summer rates are higher, the hotel repeatedly sells out. Best to book early.
