Inn at 657

Fodor's Review:

Proprietor Patsy Carter runs a homey, welcoming bed-and-breakfast near the University of Southern California. Rooms in this 1904-built Craftsman have down comforters, Oriental silks on the walls, and needlepoint rugs. The vintage dining room table seats 12; conversation is encouraged. You're also welcome to hang out with the hummingbirds in the private garden. All rooms include a hearty breakfast, homemade cookies, and free local phone calls.
