Avenues of Art and Design

Fodor's Review:

A concentration of design studios and art and antiques galleries along Melrose Avenue, San Vicente Boulevard, Robertson Boulevard, North Almont, and other streets around the Pacific Design Center has given rise to this catch-all title. The galleries are very high-end, but it doesn't cost anything to look (sometimes the window is as far as you can get; many of these studios are "to the trade only"). Periodically, usually on the first Saturday evening of the month, several of the galleries host group-opening receptions, known as Gallery Walks, to premiere new exhibits and artists. Contact the West Hollywood Convention and Visitors Bureau for information.
