Fodor's Review:
Sitting right on the sand, bordering SoCal's famous beach bike and walk path, the Strand, the Beach House looks like a New England sea cottage from a century ago. Outside it's all gray shingles and overhanging white eaves, but inside you'll find contemporary amenities in split-level, loftlike rooms. Ocean-front rooms facing the Strand have terrific sunset views and small balconies. All rooms have two TVs, four multiline phones, CD player, fireplace, wet bar, and extra soundproofing. Expect to pay more for ocean-view rooms and weekend and summer stays. Rent bikes nearby or stroll on the Hermosa Beach pier. Mornings, muffins and coffee await you in the pleasant breakfast room.
